Meet Marguerite

Marguerite, The Big e’s founder, is an experienced educator and SEND specialist with Qualified Teacher Status and Fellow level QTLS. She holds a BA Honours degree in Education and a Masters degree in Autism. She is registered with the British Psychological Society as a test user and is qualified as an Advanced Dynamic Assessment Practitioner.

Marguerite has worked as a teacher, assistant headteacher, and headteacher across primary, secondary, further, and higher education. This experience gives her a strong practical understanding of education systems and statutory processes.

Her work focuses on the intersection of race and disability. She applies culturally informed, evidence based assessment to identify unmet need and barriers to learning. She produces clear, comprehensive reports with specific and actionable recommendations.

Marguerite builds effective working relationships with parents, children and young people, and professionals. She takes a consistent and rigorous approach to safeguarding and has served as a Designated Safeguarding Lead since 2018.

In 2025, Marguerite was nominated for Disability Champion of the Year at the Future Ed Awards.
